Bali is served by an international airport, Ngurah Rai (also called the Denpasar airport). Flights to Bali originate from a number of places in Europe, Australia, North America, and Australia.
Local transportation will be provided for participants from the airport to designated hotels and a shuttle from the designated hotels to the convention center. For this purpose, kindly inform the IASCP conference team regarding the arrival and departure schedule prior to your arrival in Denpasar, Bali.
One-way transportation costs from the airport to the hotels/conference venue:
Individual prices: US $27.00
3-7 individuals: US $9.00
8 or more individuals: US$7.00
Visa requirements change unpredictably: the information offered below may change without warning, so please check with the nearest Indonesian consulate for information about current visa policies that apply to you.
Participants are required to have a valid passport (at least for 6 months from the time of entry) with a valid Indonesian visa to enter Indonesia . Please kindly contact the nearest Embassies/Consulate General/Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in your respective countries of residence to obtain the entry visa. To avoid any inconveniences, please note that submission of visa applications are recommended as soon as possible but no later than 26 May 2006 .
You are advised to change your money into US$ prior to arriving in Bali to pay for your visa on arrival.
The visa information is organized into the following three sections:
Section I. Citizens from countries that do not require visas.
Section II. Citizens from countries that can obtain visas on arrival.
Section III. Information for citizens from countries requiring a visa before arrival.
I. Non Visa, Short-term Visit
There are 11 countries that will not require visas to enter Indonesia . Citizens from these 11 countries are given Non-Visa Short Term Visit for purposes of holiday, exhibition, tourism, business, and social-culture and valid for 30 (thirty) days. This Visa can not be converted, extended, or used to obtain other immigration permit.
Citizens of those 11 countries must always have a return ticket, and be able to provide proof of availability of living expenses equivalent to US$ 1,000.00 (one thousand US dollars) prior to arriving in Indonesia .
Those 11 countries are as follows:
- Brunei Darussalam
- Chile
- Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
- Macao Special Administrative Region
- Malaysia
- Morocco
- Peru
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Vietnam
II. Visa on Arrival (VOA)
Visa On Arrival could be obtained at the designated Airport/Seaport and Land Border on entry into Indonesia . It is valid for a maximum stay of 30 (thirty) days, and is given to citizens from countries that can apply VOA for leisure visit to Indonesia .
You will need to present at the port of entry the following requirements:
1.Original valid passport for more than 6 (six) months from the date of arrival in Indonesia .
2. An exit airline ticket or on-going ticket.
3. A fee of $10.00 US for a stay of 3 (three) days and $25.00 US for 30 (thirty) days
As of August 1st 2005 those Countries that require and are eligible for Visa-On Arrival was extended from 21 countries to 35 countries (highlighted in bold) .

It is important to also note the following: The Visa on Arrival is non-extendable and cannot be converted into a different visa. The Visa purchasing system will take approximately 3-5 minutes per applicant. There are 6 payment counters, a bank and a money changer set up to process payments. After you have paid for and received your visa, you will need to proceed to Immigration where your visa will be processed.
Participants from these 37 countries are NOT required to provide the conference committee with any additional information. However, as a precautionary measure, the local conference committee suggests that you fax copies of your passport and travel itinerary to:

Please note that this is NOT a requirement of the Indonesian Consulate.
III. Information for citizens of countries requiring a visa before arrival
Citizens of countries not on the visa on arrival or visa free lists will be required to apply for a visa before entering Indonesia . Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia , and you must have proof of onward passage (either return or through tickets).
These participants MUST send the following documents to the conference committee:
Copy of your passport
Copy of your financial support (this applies to persons funded outside of IASCP)
Copy of your travel itinerary
Location of the embassy where you will pick-up your visa.
The information should be faxed to:

The committee will submit this information, along with a signed letter from the conference chair, to the local Indonesian Consulate in Bogor. After this information has been processed, a letter authorizing you to obtain your visa will be sent by telex to the embassy in your country. You will be required to pick-up your visa at the embassy you identified in the material submitted to the local conference committee.
To avoid any delays, participants are encouraged to submit this information as soon as possible but no later than 19 May 2006.
If you cannot meet these requirements, you may not be allowed to enter the country.
